Little Italy, San Diego
Categories: Neighborhoods, Tourist Spots
Restaurants, retail shops, home design stores, and art galleries line this street in Little Italy. The street was originally an Italian tuna-fishing neighborhood up until the late 1960's and continues to be home to many Italian families. Maintained by the Little Italy Neighborhood Association, this area is a destination for fine Italian wines and gourmet Italian meals. Although the neighborhood is predominantly Italian, a couple of different restaurants offer more variety: A British pub and a craft beer, wine, and sake bar offer late-night dining and drinking.
