Its Victorian-era buildings are now home to shops, sidewalk cafes, restaurants, bars, and more.   • Where it begins the Gaslam Quarter, on Fourth Avenue, there is a sign as an arch that reads "Historic heart of San Diego", and so, today a along Fourth Avenue, and the fifth also, we find countless shops, restaurants, and especially many bars, night is put to full, in the area, and while day is very quiet , it is very nice to visit it, you can read the plates that you have on these historic buildings, where once worked the laundry more important San Diego, the manufacture of pasta, or mail, today are commercial premises, restaurants, or bar, is the San Diego modern that it was emerging when declined the Old Town, we speak of late nineteenth century and early twentieth. It is a nice tour, recommendation do so on foot, there is no another way to appreciate it really.

  • This place is great. The bar tender (Mel) is fun and makes a mean drink. Place place to hang out
  • Some great bars and restaurants. Found live music and dancing in one that rounded off a great evening.
  • Nice places to eat and hang out.
  • Love the atmosphere and variety in dining choices.
  • This is a must see area. Alot of restarants and pubs. Alot of vagrants and pan handling. But it is a fun place.
