  • Great half day and three quarter day boats. Captain Jason on the Dolphin (1/2 day) has a great crew and the boat is huge, comfy, with plenty of room. Captain Taro on the Liberty does a great job finding fish on the 3/4 day and you can use the bunks for cheap on the way home. The Liberty is also a nice large boat with a lot of room. Parking can be a pain during the busy season and San Diego boats are more expensive then OC and LA boats, which is why they lose a star in my book.
  • Went fishing on the Dolphin with my family and you could not ask for a better crew. Very supportive of the youngsters and the novice fisherman. They don't talk down to you they encourage and help Best boat at Fisherman's wharf San Diego.
  • There are some decent boats out of Fisherman's Landing. However, I just got back from a half day with my son which was a total nightmare. We've been on the Dolphin a few times but today they switched the crew. The owner, Jason was the captain and Ryan was the deckhand. I have to say Ryan did a great job and was good with kids. On the other hand Jason the captain/owner of the Dolphin has no integrity, could give a damn about throwing his crew under the bus or the well being of his passengers. I lost a good rod today on the Dolphin. A seagull grabbed my bait and pulled my pole overboard. There was plenty of time to turn around and get the rod, it was killing the seagull as the rod was literally drowning it. We told Ryan and he hurried up to tell the captain and then he ran off to tend to other things. Once it was clear that we weren't turning around I asked Ryan if he told the captain and he said yes but we weren't turning around. About 10 minutes after that I confronted the captain and asked why he wouldn't turn back to get my rig, surely he'd turn around if it were his. He told me he had no idea and if he knew he would've turned around. He's a damn liar! I'm a Marine and if you don't have integrity what the hell good are you? After I got off the boat I went into the tackle shop where you pick up your tickets to get on the boat. I explained the story from the beginning. The man at the counter spoke to both Ryan and Jason separately and turns out the captain does recall...everything. All I asked for was some help, maybe a discount on a new rod and reel since that set up was only about a month old. I did NOT ask them to replace my gear...just help. Jason offered me a free ride on another half day instead. You've got to be kidding me! First he lied to my face and clearly no-one in the tackle shop has the balls to tell him to do the right thing. My buddy also went with us, saw the whole thing and also felt the captain was clearly in the wrong. He's obviously never going on the Dolphin again either. I do social media for a living... so I'll tell my story over and over until Jason realizes that the customer experience is EVERYTHING!
  • Amazing crew! Very friendly for beginners. Also cheap. Cant wait to go fishing again!
  • I went out on the Dolphin good crew had a good time.
