  • Nice, quiet place full of a variety of plants. The variety of orchids is lovely. It took me less than 30 min to walk around; I was expecting a more extensive garden. But it was free and delightful just the same. A good place to take a break if you have been strolling through the park and museums all day.
  • Check whether the building is open before you come if you come to Balboa park for the Botanical building. I'm definitely not a plant type of person, but this place did whoa me!!!! One more thing, even outside was super hot, inside of the building was chill!!
  • The botanical gardens are a must see for visitors and locals alike. Getaway from the blazing Southern California heat and step foot into this quiet and peaceful oasis.
  • A great place to see, it's in the center of the Balboa Park. Amazing flowers and plants inside, in front of the building there is a nice pond, with some nice fish. It's free, one more reason to worth the visit, we really enjoyed. Very well done San Diego!
  • Great place to unwind. There are many species of plants. I highly recommend coming here on a cooler day. Personally I cannot spend more than 30 minutes here without losing interest but for those who enjoy sitting in pretty areas for long periods of time, this might be the place for you.
