  • Spectacular for beer lovers. Several different types set in an old factory, with the facility open for visitation. Worth the ride.

  • My first time here and what an experience! beautiful property, and I loved all the copper touches. I had the mussels for lunch with a 4oz taster selection of light beer. Food was excellent and I was very happy to see such a wide selection of beer to choose from. Definitely made it easy to please the palates of everyone in the group.
  • Was a slow start to a great review, the people at the bar were evasive and not super friendly before we started our tour then, our tour guide Justin, was awesome, engaging and super fun. We then had lunch which lead us to the high point of our time at Ballast point. We met Max, our waitron, an incredible, fun and observant server/manager. He was very attentive and super fun. He chatted with us, told stories and made sure we were well taken care of. This place is a must, and if you remember, ask for Max guaranteed not to be let down. Thanks Max for the wonderful time. You simply are an asset to Ballast point. And thank you Ballast Point for creating such a memorable experience.
  • Huge improvement over their Little Italy location. The interior is spacious and has a very nice feel. You could definitely come here for a date. Beer selection is good and prices are low (standard brewery pricing). The FOOD was surprisingly tasty. I was very unimpressed with the food from their Little Italy location. Lots of seating, with a cozy outdoor patio. The floor on the patio is 'heated', though I was unable to tell the difference short of taking off my shoes and socks. Definitely the Ballast Point site to visit!
  • Went there today and had a wonderful conversation with AJ a bartender. He set us up with the tour and just was great for conversation. Very pleasant person and personable. Very knowledgeable in his craft and the craft of the beers. Thank you sir and an asset to the company. Ended up spending over $100 in the gift shop :P from the growlers of the Blunder that turned out to be amazing.
  • Fantastic! Every Ballast Point beer under the sun is on tap as well as half dozen (or so) of the experimental beers from the Little Italy R&D location. The tour we had of the facility was fascinating and the scope of the operation is unbelievable. The best part of the tour is the hop room... I'd love to throw a hammock in there and just enjoy the zen. We stayed for dinner and a bunch of beers of course. The Blunder IPA (experimental) was great and of course my tried and true Pineapple/Graprefruit Sculpin were consumed en mass. The Grunion Pale is also a new favorite. Definitely worth a stop on your San Diego Brew Tour.
