We had not been here in a while so decided to catch the first showing of the movie. There was plenty of parking, no line to buy tickets and no wait to get in. The place was very quiet as there were no... read more »
This is really more than just a movie theater. We went on a Friday night, they had a live band playing on a 2nd floor balcony. We had appetizers and a couple of beers at the bar until it was time for ... read more »

This is my family's favorite theatre in San Antonio. From the friendly staff, to the great food options, large stadium seating, cleanliness and overall experience it can't be beat. We literally only frequent this theatre for the last 6 years! Highly recommend.
Great looking coliseum style structure makes it exciting as you approach it. Stadium, reserved seating is definitely the way to go. You pick where you want to sit, no rush to beat the crowd. Lots to do while you wait for your movie. I especially liked the fact that the bar happened to be right next to our theater.

I love that this theater is so big and offers variety. Viewing options are excellent and the food options are awesome. From quick and simple to a satisfying Gelato dessert, or perhaps an evening cocktail at the bar upstairs.. this theater has something for everyone.
This place is amazing! It's huge, had a live band playing, and plenty of food and drinks to have. Assigned seating is great as there's no guessing where you sit. I also love how Santikos gives back to the community and has been doing so for a long time. We need one in El Paso
I'm a movie phanatic and this place is my Mecca. I'm not from San Antonio so I've never even imagined a place like this. I was completely overwhelmed upon first entering from sensory overload of awesomeness. The tickets for movies are average price, depending on the type of seats you get. There's seats available that vibrate and move with the movie...those a crazy expensive, but worth it for a good action movie. The theater layout is incredibly well thought-out. It is a very open layout that allows for a large amount of foot traffic. the main movie concession is straight ahead after passing through the ticket checking area, but just past the ticket checking area is a gelato/fudge bar (what!?). I've sampled the gelato and it's super good. The main concession has everything that would be typical for a movie theater to have at normal prices, but at larger sizes. Also, the drinks come from a Coke machine that allows you to blend flavors and mix and match sodas. It reminds me of a video game for sodas. To the right, before you get to the concession stand, is a beer-stop/pizza joint area with tables and pretty decent chow. Sushi is also available in this area as well as kabobs. All of it is pretty decent. They even have special trays so you can bring all this awesome stuff with you while you watch your movie. Plus, YOU CAN BRING IN YOUR BEER! To the left of the gelato area is the arcade. The arcade is actually pretty awesome. It is sectioned off. It's not "Dave & Busters good", but it's better than most mall arcades and the best I've ever seen in a movie theater before. I went to a matinee once to see Ted after it had been out for a while. The tickets has VIP written on them, which I ignored until I discovered there are actually VIP theaters. The ticket concierge explained that movies that have been released for a while have a different viewing area for the more mature crowd. I believe there's a 21 year age limit on it to help minimize teenie-bopper antics and screaming kids. It's upstairs (which has a FULL BAR, btw) and physically separated from the main theater area. While the seats in the main theaters are very comfortable, the seats in the VIP theaters are the difference between sitting in business class and sitting in coach on a plane. The seats were a black leather, incredibly comfortable, and extra wide. There was ample leg room between rows and wide plush leather arm rests between the seats. There was also a nice wooden "table" plank on the very front area of the arm rest to act as the cup holder. The theaters are smaller and offer a very different feel to the movie experience all together. If you're going to see a movie, this is the theater to go to!
