4.5/5 based on 2,400 reviews on the web
A river walk along San Antonio River begins in downtown San Antonio and features shops and restaurants with outdoor seating. The Alamo is located along the river, as are four other 18th-century Spanish missions. Consider taking a boat tour of the river through the heart of downtown. The river was first documented in 1535 and its banks hosted many battles during the Texas Revolution, when both sides attempted to use the waterway as a blockade.
