Where to stay in San Antonio

To be at the heart of San Antonio's buzzing atmosphere and attractions, stay along the city's River Walk. Lined with hotels of all levels, the area is known for excellent dining and nightlife, and is close to all of the city's main sights. While this area tends to be pricier than other neighborhoods, it is the best option for those traveling without a car who want to take full advantage of their vacation time in San Antonio. For a more rustic experience, venture outside of the city limits to stay at one of the old-world guest ranches that dot the beautiful countryside.

  • This place is just off the wall. A bit scary for little one as I heard them scream throughout. It is dark and thus sets the stage for the scary. It is a bit pricey, but if you have kids and time to ki...  more »
  • My 10 year old son wanted to go to this attraction. He was holding my hand very tight, lol. I'm glad it was not scary for adults. All the attractions are way overpriced for what you get. It's ridiculo...  more »

  • Ripley's Haunted Adventure Rocks! It had been one of the first Haunted Houses of its kind. I really enjoyed this one because unlike seasonal haunted houses this one has actors year round that have perfected the art of surprise and haunt! Get into it, let yourself go, and awaken your inner adventurous self! The Vertigo Room is a MAJOR TRIP! I would keep going through that room alone if I could. Whenever you get to it, let all the other guests walk ahead of you until they are no longer visible in the Vertigo room to best "feel" the room. Without other guests standing in front of you, you truly feel like your getting pulled in! :D
  • Kids enjoyed it and is worth the price if you get the Groupon only.
  • Cool its overpriced but i get how everyone has to get paid, worth it actually scared me on most occasions i highly recomend.
  • It is a nice and fun place to visit, just in front the El Álamo.
  • Fun experience. I was the only one there. If you like a little terror... give it a try.
