  • This is a great place to spend a Saturday morning. Plenty of cute shops to choose from. A wide range of vendors with great products. Our favorite part might have been all the people that bring their dogs to hang out!
  • Went to the Farmers Market that is held on the weekends and I was very impressed with the set and all the different vendors they had. A lot of nice local shops with a good variety of food. Will be returning to try the restraunts.
  • The area surrounding the old Pearl Brewing Factory is amazing! My girlfriend and I were spending a weekend in San Antonio and ventured out the Pearl on the recommendation of our lovely AirBnB host. I’m so glad we found this gem! We went to the Pearl on a Saturday morning, around 9:30am and wandered through the farmer’s market they have set up there. We grabbed a crepe for breakfast and enjoyed a live band while we ate. Then we wandered around the tents, enjoying the samples and the vibrant colors of local produce and characters. We bought a bottle of delicious reserve wine from a local winery who had a tent set up and then, as we were leaving, we passed by the information tent and a sign for a free historic tour caught our eye. We decided to take advantage of that and this may have been the neatest thing we did all weekend! We met for tour at 10am and we were the only two who showed up so we got a private tour. Our guide, Sissie, was fantastic! She was energetic, funny, knew all the vendors on a first-name basis, and clearly loves what she does. She walked us around the front half of the district (and instructed us to ask for a tour of the back half next time we’re in town) and pointed out so many little nuggets that we never would have noticed if we hadn’t been with her. She shared stories and insight that only a local would have available and provided us with a great experience! I highly recommend this tour if you’re in the area (they have them at 10am and noon every Saturday and (I think) Sunday, during the farmer’s market.
  • Decent shopping area. Would have been nicer had the actual Pearl Brewery been still operating there. They could have at least set up a tour and did some kind of joint craft-brewing operation with the Culinary Institute.
  • Went here thinking it was actually the Pearl Brewery. I was upset at first to find out it was almost a small town made from the brewery grounds. I was much relieved after coming across Southerleigh. Being from Colorado, I know craft beers and this place was outstanding in the art.
