  • The area surrounding the old Pearl Brewing Factory is amazing! My girlfriend and I were spending a weekend in San Antonio and ventured out the Pearl on the recommendation of our lovely AirBnB host. I’m so glad we found this gem! We went to the Pearl on a Saturday morning, around 9:30am and wandered through the farmer’s market they have set up there. We grabbed a crepe for breakfast and enjoyed a live band while we ate. Then we wandered around the tents, enjoying the samples and the vibrant colors of local produce and characters. We bought a bottle of delicious reserve wine from a local winery who had a tent set up and then, as we were leaving, we passed by the information tent and a sign for a free historic tour caught our eye. We decided to take advantage of that and this may have been the neatest thing we did all weekend! We met for tour at 10am and we were the only two who showed up so we got a private tour. Our guide, Sissie, was fantastic! She was energetic, funny, knew all the vendors on a first-name basis, and clearly loves what she does. She walked us around the front half of the district (and instructed us to ask for a tour of the back half next time we’re in town) and pointed out so many little nuggets that we never would have noticed if we hadn’t been with her. She shared stories and insight that only a local would have available and provided us with a great experience! I highly recommend this tour if you’re in the area (they have them at 10am and noon every Saturday and (I think) Sunday, during the farmer’s market.
  • The pearl brewery has been transformed into a multi use facility that has all sorts of great places to eat, interesting shops including a cooking store, bike store, and local business. Great location to explore and meet friends as well as events in the converted stable. Highly recommended.
  • This is a fantastic area to take the kids on a weekend morning. Gorgeous area to allow them to wander while looking at all the vendors. It's always an easy way for us to kill a couple of hours with the kids.
  • One of the more low key areas in San Antonio just so happens to be one of the most unique. A great spot for grabbing boutique food, clothes, or drinks. The architecture is beautiful as well and is a great spot for photographers!
