  • The park has approximately 10 miles of dirt/rock trails that are fairly well marked. I'd like to see a few more marking on the 6 mile (blue) trail, but after a few times turing around I made it. Highl...  more »

  • It is a very large park and therefore difficult to know well on foot, should at least go bicycling.

  • I've been coming to McAllister Park since I was a little kid. My brother played little league here. It's a good park! McAllister is huge. They have several miles of walking/biking trails, more than enough playgrounds, sports fields galore, and a dog park. We're primarily there for the dog park, nowadays, but the rest of the park is very well cared for. There are gazebos for rent, places to camp and barbecue, and plenty of space to play. The dog park gets regular cleanings and is well maintained. The folks there are, for the most part, friendly and easy-going. Check out McAllister, they're a decent park.
  • Trails are nice but no signs and got hopelessly lost. Fortunately a nice runner showed me the way to get back to my car and shared his water with my 2 dogs. I had intended to be out for a short walk which ended up being a 2 hour search for the car. My cell phone was dead of course. Luckily it was early afternoon. I would have really freaked if it had been close to dark.
  • We absolutely love this park. Whether we are riding bikes with the family or just jogging in the park, it is always such a wonderful experience. The park is teaming with wildlife and is a very calming place to be.
  • Amazing park! They have everything here: open fields, dog park, biking trails, hiking trails, play grounds etc. Its a great place to do some off trail exploring
  • Wonderful trails, friendly people. A beautiful oasis in the middle of the city that has great examples of local flora. The wildlife there is fascinating as well. Today on my walk I saw rabbit and deer aplenty.
