  • Really enjoyed looking at the Hispanic artwork, jewelry, clothing, etc. The booths along the street were unique and fun. Also enjoyed the street performers.
  • This is a stop on the hop-on/hop-off tour busses. It has a couple of Mexican restaurants, pretty good eating! The marketplace is indoors, lots of small booths/shops selling all sorts of imported stuff...  more »

  • The main positives for the hotel is its location and reasonably priced compared to nearby hotels. It's not located right along the River Walk, but it is an easy 7-10 minute walk away. There is also a market (right across the street) and another small shopping area with a couple food vendors with a couple of minutes' walk. Our room needed some minor repairs and some deep cleaning for the carpet. The free included breakfast had a decent variety of items. The seating for the breakfast can come at a premium between 7:30 and 8:30. (We visited during the summer week days.) The staff were generally pleasant and helpful. Parking was not a problem, but be sure and place your parking pass in your window so not to be towed away.
  • I would not recommend anyone to come to this hotel. The rooms are pretty small, not the cleanest, and had a few small roaches. Also the room I was in had an extremely loud ice machine that made loud noise randomly through out the night next to it. The only redeming factor was that the staff here have been really friendly, but other than that spend a little more, and get a different hotel. You'll be happy you did.
  • The desk staff are very helpful. This location is more a motel than hotel. So room entrances are exterior, consequently there were two small bugs in the room. The bed was very comfortable compared to other hotels. And the blackout curtains were very effective.
  • This location is pretty clean. The rooms are nice and cold. I like the fact that the pool is in the middle courtyard. Breakfast wasn't bad either.
  • It was my first time staying at La Quinta but it definitely won't be my last time. My room was exceptionally clean and at a cold 65 degree Fahrenheit, which was nice since it was so hot out. The king size bed was so comfortable! Location is great; half a mile to the river walk so we went walking there. My room number was 130 and it had a slightly noisy a/c unit but nothing bothersome. Small downside is that you can hear traffic outside, at least from this room, but that doesn't bother me. Breakfast was good; Texas waffles, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, variety of breads, and some oatmeal; apple juice, orange juice, milk, water, and coffee were provided as well. Overall: great location, great price.
