  • My wife loved all the small "dime stores" for the typical tourist shopping experience and the River walk was conveniently close to Market Square.  more »
  • There are many different shops located here with items from Mexico. The day I visited there was a woman performing on stage that sounded great. Food can be purchased on the street as well.  more »
  • We love the market. There is always something going on with entertainers, music, or just plain old people-watching. Great eating options as well as shopping.  more »

  • The room was clean and comfortable enough. There were no outlets near the bed so it was annoying to charge my phone overnight and also use it as an alarm. Some of the light switches did nothing and the bathroom light flickered pretty badly at first. There was also paint chipping on the door and some baseboards that were looking very loose. Apparently they are getting renovated soon, so hopefully those issues are addressed. Our room, like most of them, faced the pool and you could hear every word of people hanging out there or in the hallway, although it was perfectly quiet overnight. The staff members were not thrilled to be working there, but they were professional enough to get the job done. They cleaned up breakfast 20 minutes before it was supposed to be over, so I missed it entirely when I was running late. The price is better here than most places near the convention center, but it's still a bit high considering the quality and location (you don't want to be walking around this area at night).
  • Service was excellent, rooms were clean and the parking lot had more than enough room. The location is a plus since you can literally just walk across the street to visit some great restaurants. Will visit again.
  • This is the best hotel in its price range for anyone visiting San Antonio, due to its fantastic location. The hotel room was clean and didn't lack any essential amenities. We had some minor issues with the plumbing, and it sure isn't a luxury hotel, but being able to be so close to downtown for under $150 makes it a no-brainer for me.
  • It's like they took a cheap motel and slapped the LaQuinta name on itšŸ˜’ The room was small, bathroom was dirty, other guests were very loud outside the room and when we called to ask if the front desk if they would tell them to simmer down it just got worse... definitely not worth what we paid to stay here..
  • Staff was surprisingly helpful. I arrived at 6am and the lady at the front desk ran out behind me to let me know that I could check in immediately if I wanted to. Room was clean and breakfast was good.
