Where to stay in San Antonio

To be at the heart of San Antonio's buzzing atmosphere and attractions, stay along the city's River Walk. Lined with hotels of all levels, the area is known for excellent dining and nightlife, and is close to all of the city's main sights. While this area tends to be pricier than other neighborhoods, it is the best option for those traveling without a car who want to take full advantage of their vacation time in San Antonio. For a more rustic experience, venture outside of the city limits to stay at one of the old-world guest ranches that dot the beautiful countryside.

  • First the good things. When we went it wasn't busy at all, the rides are all cool old school rides, and there's lots of shade. Now for the reason I didn't give them a 5. It really is for smaller child...  more »
  • Still have some of the older rides that I rode as a kid and they keep things operational. My kids loved it when they were little and birthday parties are fun to have here. Affordable and worth a visit...  more »
  • I visited with out of town family and small children during spring break. The place looked small and older, but all rides were in working order. The favorite ride was the slide which was an additional...  more »

  • This place is ideal for 5-year-old kids and under. I think if they are older than that they may get bored of this park quite quickly. My three year old loves this place. He will ride the same ride over and over again before moving on to another. There are only 6 or 7 rides, but if your kids are like mine, they will still have a blast and easily take up two hours of your day.
  • Great place for children 5 and under. The purchase of a wristband is more than worth it no matter how many children you have! Only issues I have are that they have more rides than employees and that if you go to the arcade during the week you might not be able to redeem your tickets until the weekend or next visit.
  • This place is historic and rides still function properly. My 5 yr. old loves it and I also had my birthday party there 24-25 yrs. ago.
  • Honestly, this place is a dive... I mean, all the rides look like they're ready to fall apart, and the face painting has got to be the most unsanitary situation I've ever seen, lol. I'm sure there are some people that really like this place, maybe... But anyway, I can think of much better things to do with your kids on a hot summer day; the Japanese tea gardens or the zoo are not that far from here. Anyway, just not my place, would be better if it was updated, cleaner, had better food, and an overall renovation.
  • This place is a gem frozen in time. It has a bunch of really old amusement park rides that area throwback to the 1960's, but they all still work. They may look a little shady, but I have no problem throwing my kids onto them. This place is excellent for birthday parties.
