  • Wonderful place for a simple day hike. Great play area for children. We took our dogs and 3 children under the age of 4. We brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed the time there. It is wonderfully taken care of. Trails are easy to follow and everyone seemed so friendly that you would meet. It is a great place to go for a run out push a stroller. We plan to revisit again soon
  • Great park. They have a few different trails for varying levels of ability and for different kinds of hikes/walks. Great park for dogs as well. I've used the long trail to prepare for more strenuous hikes. The long hike is a little longer than 3 miles and has a good mix of up and down hill. It's a good workout.
  • A great spot that is just on this side of "a bit out of the way", while still being perfectly driveable just about whenever you are likely to visit. Trail maps are available, a variety of trail difficulties are well marked and facilities are perfectly up to standards. It's not the beauty of a national park, but if you like to run a varied terrain or do some light hiking, there is something here for you. Worth checking out with a friend, a significant other, your whole family, your dog, or all by yourself.
  • Awesome park great for hiking or photography. I hiked level four and it was challenging. Overall the park was clean and well kept. People at the park are nice and quiet allowing you to adventure. Great park wish there were more than 5 stars
  • Great city park, free entrance, check out the 4.5 miles of wilderness, unpaved trails, in addition to the 2.5 miles of paved trails. Much less crowded. The outer loop (Hillside-Red Oak) is a good 3 miles with 300 ft elevation, perfect for a weekday hike, you can stretch it to 5.3 by going back up on Yucca and backtracking half of Hillside. Great secret is that it is sandy terrain, so never muddy and not closed after a big rain like the other good hikes around town.
