  • This is truly an overlooked treasure of Southwest Virginia! Anyone wanting to learn about the history of Saltville and the surrounding area, from the last ice age to the 20th century, should plan to visit this establishment! Plan to spend 3 to 4 hours in order to fully absorb what the museum has to offer. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Kids and adults will truly enjoy and learn more than you can imagine!
  • It's a great place if you want to learn about deep history are you want to learn about pre-columbian America or you're interested in the ice ages woolly mammoths saber tooth tigers that's the fossil place
  • Was a wonderful experience. My mom was born and raised in saltville VA. I enjoyed learning more about it.
  • Museum is located in Saltville VA. Beautiful little town. The museum itself was great. Low entry fee, great old photos of the town, awesome exhibits and great gift shop. Dosent take long to view the whole place so you can take your time at each exhibit. Also stop at the overview on the way to the museum. There you get a great vew of the town plus a large sign with the area's history.
  • Well laid out. Surprising amount of items to examine at a reasonable price. Children enjoyed the gift shop.
