  • Wonderful stay here. Quiet. The trails and water areas were wonderful to discover. Only complaint: womens bathroom/shower. Rating this on its showers, would only be a 2 out of 10. An 'airplane' fan co...  more »
  • Unfortunately our visit to Florida coincided with the "Bomb Cyclone"/Polar Vortex Jan. 1-8, 2018, and due to the unusually frigid temps (30s and 40s by day!) were unable to really experience Salt Spri...  more »

  • This is a great place to camp or just for the day. If camping, please beware of these things; Bears really do come into your camp. Do Not leave any food or trash out. They will get into it. Use the bear proof food storage bins and the bear proof trash bins that are provided. Bring plenty of Deep Woods Off bug spray. One can per person per three day period. Fire ants/Army Ants are everywhere. They have very painful bites. Be wary of poisonous snakes. Learn to identify each one in whatever region you camp. On the fun side, you'll see a lot of deer, turkeys, coons, squirrels, various birds and hear numerous owls. There are bathrooms and showers, fire pits and picinic tables. Other than these items, you are in the wild. I have met two of the staff members working the front gate. Both ladies are incredibly sweet and helpful.
  • Great campground, beautiful springs. Well run. Just be aware, we did not get good enough internet access with either ATT or Verizon to make it through a work-week from the campground. Service was adequate to answer texts, load e-mail, etc.
  • We stayed two nights at the Salt Springs Recreational Area. There were 3 of us with 3 tents and 3 motorbikes. I can honestly say the area is great, very open, but great, each unpowered site has a firepit as well as a Bear Care Food Box. The Staff was absolutely fantastic, helping us with everything from delivering firewood, to helping us with trail maps and trying their best to accommodate our every need. If only hotels offered this level of service. a big thank you to all the office staff at the facility!
  • What a beautiful place! We stayed in the RV campground which is fantastic. We will come back.
  • Best campground and staff ever!! They are accommodating and knowledgable about the area. Loved this place.
