  • This place is a must stop! The water is so clear, we saw lots of manatee's, bass and talapia. We truly enjoy this place.  more »
  • Stayed one night in the primative area. Very quiet and roomy. 3 nights in the rv campground, also spacious sites. Great February weather to hangout outdoors. The spring felt great after a couple minut...  more »

  • Nice campground that will allow you to get some out in the woods time in while in Florida. Situated in the middle of the Ocala NF it's not particularly close to anywhere. Bring groceries for your stay as there isn't anything available other than a small produce stand across the street. There is a nice ~1 mile trail right out of the campground, there is a boat dock for access to the river and of course the spring itself. There are lots of places to hike in the surrounding area including the Florida Trail. Verizon was 4G and usable for work but not rock star. We had no AT&T service. Only real negative was the ticks which plentiful.
  • This place is the most beautiful place in the forest. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The campground has power!!! The shower areas are clean and well kept!!!
  • This is a national recreation area. The springs area is large and beautifully kept up. The adjacent campground is really great. Huge sites and plenty of access for the biggest rigs. Landscaping is beautiful and plenty of trails for exploring and bicycle rides. Full hookups on many sites and well suited for large groups, too.
  • My favorite swimming hole. Relaxing down to earth atmosphere. Remote. Family place. No party animals aside from the annoying boats anchoring in the spring run. Clean all around. Old Florida feel.
  • I loved crystal clear cool water. everyone there was pretty laid back. the only thing is it wld be nice to have cell phone service but not nessisary if your going to be swimming anyway. we packed a picnic lunch and the kids loved it!
