  • I came from California and visited the place and quickly signed up! Staff are amazing! And their homeless are reasonable. Those who complain, visit California! Utah is the best state ever! Child friendly, wealthy and the libraries are awesome! Super happy.
  • Excellent Library! Very interesting architecturally, creating a unique public space with a market of small business. Awesome quiet seating areas for reading, polite socializing, and people watching. One of the better childrens libraries, with fun reading areas. Great plaza with fountain and sculptures. Green roof with seating, as well as sweeping ramp access. Just a fun place, one of my favorites!
  • When I first moved to Utah, I was at the library daily to use the Internet to look for jobs and such. It was a really great atmosphere, too. My kids got that, yesterday as we explored each level. I found myself somewhat disappointed because the library as a whole is in desperate need of a deep cleaning and touch-ups throughout. This is a centerpiece of the city and to see it getting so worn and abused is sad. On a more positive note, the staff in the children's area is awesome. They are fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. I see folks commenting on the homeless population but really that always strikes me as such an odd complaint. I don't care who is at the library if they are there utilizing it for all its worth. I don't see people sleeping or laying about, I saw folks reading and engaging in a space meant for such. It wasn't like a block away where we saw a guy smoking crack near another man that was passed out in a parking space. Sure there's a problem in the city but I think the library does a decent job keeping riff raff at bay.
  • Wow. Visited the city for a day and had to check out the library; it's one of my favorite sights in a city. The grounds of this library is beautiful. Great views from the roof top terrace and the beehives were an added bonus. I loved the cute little hair salon, library store that sold used inventory from the library and local products, as well as the art gallery. Really cool building. Located along Trax free ride area.
  • Really beautifully designed library. I'm proud to have it in my city. However, there should be an automatic timer on the bathroom stall that flings the door open every 10 minutes and kicks out the occupant. I get it's a public facility, but every single stall had some degenerate jacking off, shooting up, or having some other personal episode not suitable for a public restroom. Piles of bags and packs could be seen under the partition walls like a campsite. This is such a great facility, it's a shame that it can't be used to its full potential. I wish I could stay longer, but my day has been cut short by a simple bathroom trip.
