  • The lake is quite a drive from the city, and has no distinctive topography across the water or on Antelope Island. We searched diligently for the Buffalo but never saw one, and when we made it to the ...  more »

  • Don't expect too much. It is just a viewing area by the highway, 10 miles from the airport. Good spot if you don't have too much time in SLC and you want to see/dip in the famous lake.  more »

  • This is a nice spot to get a view of the Great Salt Lake....if you don't mind the bugs. There were tons of Brine Flies once we got down to the waters edge. The flies would fly up in clouds if you got too close. Also, the salt water made the kids pretty itchy after we waded in it. We couldn't find a spot to rinse off afterwards as there was construction going and several places were fenced off. Overall, this is a convenient place to get up close to the waters edge and enjoy cool views of the surrounding lake.
  • The gorgeous. My only disappointment is I really wished the city and local government would do more to preserve this natural treasure. It just felt that there was not enough efforts made to maintain this place.
  • It's a short drive from West Jordan. We had to pay $3 per car, which is not pricey. It gives a good view of the lake with good spots for pictures and it has a visitors center with interesting information and restrooms. It's a quick stop we were there for 30 min max but I think it's worth it so you get to see and smell the Great Salt Lake!
  • Pretty gross, honestly. I get that it's a lake and they can only be so clean, but I'm not sure what I paid $3 for, exactly. A parking lot that's hardly maintained?
  • Good place for short stay. Water was not at all good at the place we went. Best for boating.
