  • We are very fortunate to live by this gem. I particularly like the history trail. The house offers tours. There are are wonderful nature camps for kids in summer, too.

  • Pemberton is in a nice place to take a walk or run on trails. Very picturesque with forested areas along the Wicomico River with trails intertwined on the property. Plus the historic plantation house ...  more »

  • Great way to spend an afternoon. Open from sunrise to sunset with no admission fees for just walking around, although special events may require admission. Plenty of nature trails, dog and horse friendly, places to kayak, birdwatch, fish, etc. Very popular among photographers, both portrait and nature. Clean if older indoor bathrooms. Grills and picnic tables, plenty of open space. You absolutely can't go wrong. I took the Bell Island Trail and the Wetlands Trail on my most recent visit, sauntered for about two hours. It probably gets pretty buggy in the warm weather so be sure to protect yourself. Also, while you don't need hiking boots, the trails can be a little treacherous with roots and mud so wear somewhat appropriate shoes.
  • Beautiful park. Quiet and serene. Maintained with the highest standards.
  • One of the best parks in Salisbury. Many great walking trails to take advantage of. Each one is distinct in it's vistas and style. The setting is very quiet and safe. There are benches to have a picnic on if you like. Hardly ever crowded. One of my favorite places on the shore.
  • My happy please. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. Good fishing. Good walking/hiking. Even some equestrian trails. Historical buildings to explore. Very fun. I bring my dogs as often as I can.
  • Long trails and great place to start kayaking.
