  • Attended Fall Jubilee fair 10/1/2016 for the 1st time on this georgeous late Summer "Fall" day. Very family oriented! Fun watching all the children on the tractor hay rides offered from the parking lot to the craftsman area. (min of 3- every few minutes). The booths on the blacktop were hot that day, but the ones between the trees in the picnic type area were wonderful. (Just depends on weather).. Overall, I enjoyed speaking with many of the artists and craftsman. There was certainly something for everyone. Will go again for SURE!
  • My husband and I chose Dan Nicholas Park as our first campsite to try out our new travel trailer. We planned on staying a week but liked it so much we ended up staying 2 weeks. The campground is well maintained and the folks that run the park are so nice and helpful. The park has a lot of activities for all ages so we took advantage of the time there and invited friends and family to visit. The bathrooms and showers are scrubbed from top to bottom weekly and cleaned daily. I had no problem using the faculties as you could smell and feel how clean they were. The sites are roomy with wooded scenery all around you so you can easily relax. There was plenty of parking for our extra car. They had electric and water. The dump station was on your way out by a bath house. We did not have any trouble accessing it. There is a beautiful lake nearby and we found some really good restaurants nearby but you still feel like you are away from the city and traffic. A beautiful place to stay. We will be back to visit again for sure!!!
  • My family and I went to Dan Nicholas Park this past Thursday and had a wonderful time!! We were sad that the train, carousel and paddle boats were closed but we still had a blast. We basically had the entire park to ourselves. The animals don't look to be well taken care of... except the ducks. Lol But that may be because they are fed constantly by the visitors. My 4 year old twin boys loved the splash pad and the huge park! They also have a decent putt putt course. We did the gem mining and got a few decent sized quartz of various colors and even some fools gold!! I wish this place was closer! I highly recommend you go there!!
  • Great place for summer fun with the kids. Bears, eagles, a miniature train and gem mining. What more could you ask for? When sifting for gems, watch for the small stuff (rubies, saphires, etc...)
  • Awesome little park. Very nice playground and plenty of other things to do. Very inexpensive wonderful way to spend the day.
