  • Beautiful. More than enough room to explore picnics trail walks riding your horse etc.. Love this spacious park. Rangers are friendly and welcoming plus each have a wealth of information to happily share. Stop by and say hello and or have your next family reunion that special day your wedding or just come and take it all in!
  • A few features stand out: a ton of picnic tables, and close to a bunch of u-pick orchards, so this provides a good picnic spot after picking. Has long paved trails for little kids to bike on. Has access to Willamette river bank through a few access points from the paved trails. Typically not very crowded. This is definitely one of those less "natural" parks, since it becomes evident soon that the woods are basically overgrown hazelnut groves. Still, it is a very green space, small animals are plentiful and we get a good day away from the city.
  • Just north of Kiezer, Willamette Mission State Park is a beauty on its own. Surrounded by agricultural fields, the scenery is wonderful. The Willamette River flows quietly down the western side of the park. 5 dollar fee or yearly passes available. Tons of picnic tables, several volleyball nets, and hiking trails. Opportunity for horses and boats too. Must go.
  • Willamette Mission State Park is a wonderful place for a day of adventuring. There are many miles of trails. Some of them are shared by hikers/bikers/equestrians. One can walk along the river, through/around active fields and amongst the nut (walnut/filbert) trees. It is possible to walk approximately 10 miles on the parks trails, and rarely have to walk the same path twice. It is also fun to watch the Wheatland Ferry from the park's edge as it moves back and forth across the river. If you have the time consider including a ferry crossing into your adventures (there is a fee). This is a very dog friendly park, but remember to bring your own bags - no kiosks. There is a day use fee charged to visit this park.
  • Marvelous natural park and scenic area just north of Keizer Oregon that offers beautiful agricultural views, Willamette River Ferry Crossing, bike paths, horse and equestrian trails, picnic grounds, an historic original settlers church mission, interpretive trails and historic settings for Oregon.
