  • I took my parents to see the museum. We were impressed with the exhibits and the varied history presented. We plan on returning soon as we missed few sites.  more »

  • This is a beautiful site with amazing historical buildings. So much history to learn and share with family and friends. They have special family fun events though-out the year. This site provides beautiful event venues for special occasions or meetings.
  • Great venue for the wedding. We did our ceremony and reception in the spinning room and it worked out great. We had no complaints and had a great time!
  • Beautiful preserved historic buildings with plenty to see in a day if you do the museum tour and neat shops to visit. It's only a couple of blocks from the Capital building.
  • WOW, so much history here! I loved seeing the looms and workings of the wool mill. The guide told so much about the families and workers. I will go repeatedly!
  • I had been once before with my friend and I was excited to bring my husband to see this. There are neat old buildings that are important to Oregon history that have been saved and moved her very cool! There are little shops and a cafĂ© also super neat! The old woolen mill is fantastic and it is so neat that we are allowed to tour it! My only complaint was our Docent pushed us through too fast! It you tried to stop and look at anything she would scold you and tell you to hurry up! My Dh has a bad back and could not walk at the same hurried running pace as "Fanny" could but she scowled at us as he had trouble with the stairs! Yikes!Over all it did appear that she was trying to keep to a strict time limit and over all the docent did a nice job but it was not as pleasant as we had hoped. We later were talking to friends bout this and they also said they were so hurried though that they did not get to see things just forced to run passed them! So I would hope that the tour could be reworked to add just a few minutes for people to see the things we go in hopes of seeing things ! Overall it was neat and we were glad we went but I am not sure people with young kids or those who are disabled should even try this unless they provide a special tour for them.
