  • Salem was way more than I expected no doubt. But this collection and exhibit was EVERYTHING! Wow! An amazingly well curated and eclectic display of both weird and gory horrors with fascinating trivia that put the history of these cinematic features in full context. Brilliantly executed display. I really wish I could have taken pictures to keep for myself and as for you this is hands down the #1 stop in Salem especially for weird horror fans. Amazing. I will go back sometime!
  • Awesome place. The wax figures are amazing. All the "regular" monsters are here but also some obscure ones you wouldn't expect... i.e the Swamp Witch lady from Legend.
  • Being from Hollywood, I admired the craft put into all the displays in this museum. Much better done than the hokey witch museums. You can tell this place is a labor of love, for lovers of horror.
  • This museum was really cool. All the horror figurines were so lifelike. There were some really nice pieces on display.
  • This place was really awesome. Must see for a horror fan! Figures were really life like. Will definitely be back in the future.

Those who want a room rich with character should look to the outskirts of the city. There you can find a number of charming bed and breakfasts, several of which are in restored century-old homes.
