  • Yes the kids love the library but there are attractions for adults too! The staff is really helpful in helping you find answers to any topic. Stop in sometime and see for yourself.  more »
  • This library is such a great experience. I have been taking my 6 yr old grandson here to pick out a pile of books for him to read and me to read. He is looking forward to going again after each pile h...  more »

  • I love Salem's library. It is pretty big for the city it serves. Not to mention the two other satellite sites that have even more selection and make it easier for you to get what you need in your specific area. The only thing I don't like (and it drives me crazy) is the paid parking at the main library. I am usually here for a 10-15 minutes, as I grab my books of the reserved shelf, and having to have change on me is annoying. However, I think that's more of a city thing than the library so I wont let it affect the rating.
  • Love my public library, the people here are amazing and they are always helpful. And they love my daughter upstairs in the children's area. She's 10 months and starting to get the hang of walking and she walks all over there. And they seem to have no issue with her high pitched squeals of delight
  • The staff are always helpful and nonjudgemental. I am always happy to find more than I am looking for, the free computer lab downstairs is an excellent community resource, and the book store upstairs has an amazing plethora of obscure finds at a phenomenal price. We are so blessed to have such an excellent library and it is the beacon of human community amongst the reading community. Also the art is divine. An excellent resource staffed by angels
  • Very nice library. Good selection. Great staff! The only down side is the parking garage is paid parking. It's not the library's fault. Its the city.
  • Wonderful library, only wish they would put the Christian style published books under a separate category like Sci Fi or mystery so I could avoid them.
