  • I thought the cave was going to be used for wine storage or something more cool than just a picnic area. They ask that you buy a bottle of wine as your access fee to use the cave area. I could see how...  more »
  • Frankie was so helpful! We arrived just as the shop was opening and she was very attentive and informative. Also, our little furry tour guide to the cave, Zoey, was a sweet little lab. We bought a bun...  more »
  • The cave is really cool & really the only attraction of this winery. Inside seating area is very dark. I believe there was an outside seating area that was covered but was uninviting. The lady who wor...  more »
  • The wines here are very nice (I liked the Cave Rock Red and the Cave Rock White) but the real attraction of this winery is that they have an old saltpeter cave on the property. You can go into the cave with your wine and snacks and hang out. The cave is very clean and has a few lights and some tables so you can see to eat. It's very romantic. If you aren’t into caves but for some reason you came to a place called Cave Winery, there's a hummingbird feeder by the tasting room which is always surrounded by cute little hummingbirds.
  • Very secluded and quiet. Their is a ride to the cave. Must see
  • I went to Cave Vineyard and had an awesome time. The staff member were very nice. The wine was good. It was a perfect place for a first date. We had a ball. You can make it what you want. laid back or romance date. I love it. We will be back.
  • Don't waste your time driving here. I went to check it out for a family event and as soon as I exited my car and began to walk down the hill to the "cave area", some employee ran out and told me we had to come inside the shop before we could look around. Fine. After entering the shop I was told I couldn't look around unless I bought a bottle of wine. Needless to say I'm not interested in having my event at a place who wants to immediately extort money from me before allowing me to see the venue. Maybe business is poor? Anyway, it was tacky and there are several other more professional establishments around. Don't waste your drive out there.
  • THE WINE IS TERRIBLE! I really cannot explain the taste other than bad. It had a metallic taste, which they use steel tanks for aging. I can enjoy and appreciate wines that are aged in steel, but not this wine. My friends and I were unable to choke it down and ended up dumping it. Also, the cave was so,so. This was a gimmick to pull people in. I don't understand the other reviewers on here. My friends and I had an awesome experience at Chaumette, Charleville, and Crown Valley. This one was a huge disappointment. Also, the cave has a "spring" in it, but the water was disgusting. We chose to sit on a picnic bench located on the walk to and from the cave where bees decided to run us off. No impressed and will not go back... EVER!
