  • As others have said, Rice Park is small, just one square block of land in the heart of downtown St. Paul. In the summer, it is nice to stroll through on your way from dinner at one of St. Paul’s resta...  more »

  • It's a great small park with a lovely fountain near the heart of St Paul, MN. It has wonderful Events going on for both Kids and Adults year round! It's surrounded by the well known Historic St Paul Hotel, the newly renovated St Paul Library, Herbie's on the Park Restaurant, the amazing Ordway (Theater) Center for Performing Arts & St Paul's permanent "Castle" the lovely Landmark Center! This year - 2018 - We came Together to Celebrate our First Downtown "Ice Castle" since the the last one built back in 2004 for the All Star Hockey Games which like the Super Bowl this year fell on/or near our Greatly Celebrated MN Winter Carnival!! This last year - 2017 - I was able to catch several events here in Rice Park. I hope you all enjoy the photos. I myself have had a great time every time I join in the events here in this park!!
  • If you're a lover of all things Peanuts, Charlie Brown or Snoopy (or are just looking for something fun for the kids that is free) then this park is for you. It's less park like a county or state one and more park like "random city block with a few things to do". Fun for little kids and big kids alike!
  • Rice Park was gorgeous the night I went. The lights in the trees and the ground covered with snow made it seem like a fairyland. It’s a nice spot to have in the urban center and I’m sure equally lovely when the temperatures are above freezing and flowers are blooming. All parking seems to be metered, and it wasn’t hard to find a spot.
  • It's a beautiful place to take a stroll and go on a date... But the only downfall is there's a lot of homeless people. It's very nice at night, but if you're walking around Rice Park, prepare to hide face the "Night of the Living Homeless People". My friends and I were downtown playing Pokemon GO, and literally every corner we turned, a homeless person approached us. I'm out here trying to catch Pokemon, not homeless people. Sorry.
  • It was a good time. The people were nice. Lots of ice sculptures to look at. Lots of food vendors and a live band. I think it was Arch Allies. A light wind about 5 mph and it was 8 degrees Fahrenheit. No parking available except 5 blocks away. I dressed warm but, it was still cold. I don't know how the live band did it.
