  • Awesome renovations! Enjoyed visiting during the Grand Opening weekend! Haven't visited in years. So much fun to see everything and enjoyed seeing all the people in the Capitol bringing it to life. Thank you!
  • This was our first time to see a US Capitol building up close. With it's golden statues (quadriga), it kind of reminded us of our own Legislative building in Winnipeg. Unfortunately we weren't able to go inside. It's a good companion attraction to the Cathedral of St Paul which you can see at the other side of Summit/John Ireland blvd In addition we were fortunate to see the "Take Me Home Huey" Helicopter on display when we visited. I was able to research some parking options beforehand (along 12th and the Centennial Parking Ramp) but since we visited on a Sunday, street parking on John Ireland blvd was easy.
  • This place looks even more beautiful after the renovations. Awesome tours and tour guides, that give you very real and honest information. Great for a Sunday afternoon escape from the heat and a walk into the past.
  • Newly renovated state capitol. They offer free tours. You can also watch your representatives in action while in session.
  • Very bad service drove 50 miles for a part got told they had my part for 75.00 and when I got here it was missing parts and wanted more money for the same thing with it all the same thing

Where to stay in Saint Paul

Places to stay in St. Paul sit concentrated in the downtown area. The Lowertown Historic District, which includes some of the city's oldest buildings, makes a particularly attractive option. Hotels, guesthouses, and bed and breakfasts here can put you just steps from the Mississippi River, while the greater downtown area also offers apartment rentals and hostels. Staying downtown also puts you within walking distance of most of the city's prime attractions. Additionally, you'll find a handful of national-chain hotels on the east side of town near Interstate 494 / 694.
