  • Excellent Choice of a museum. Easy access on and off highway. Parking available. Highly recommended to everyone. Learn everything about Minnesota, you might be surprised how rich the history is.  more »
  • The Minnesota History Center offers a fantastic overview of, well, Minnesota history. It is particularly awesome for kids as there are LOTS of hands on activities!  more »
  • I have taken genealogy classes there. We have used their extensive library for research. The exhibits change several times a year. Always worth the trip!  more »

  • A children's museum! ?!?. What was this person looking at? Yes, there are things for children but there is so much more. The Greatest Generation exhibit or the Civil War exhibit was very much for adults. The Society operates many historical sites all over the state. They also house the Gale library which contains historical documents you will find no where else.
  • A great history museum, research center, gift shop, and cafeteria - all in one!
  • Great place to learn about local history, and they are always having special exhibits. My kids loved the what-it's-like-to-be-in-a-basement-when-a-tornado-goes-by. Also has the best state history library: free to use, but you can't check anything out.
  • Very cool museum. Because a large portion of the home museum is dedicated to th special exhibit, I would advise looking at the topic before going. Otherwise you may be at a museum that is of little interest to you.
  • $12 a person seems kind of steep, but other than that, the Minnesota History Center is an interesting place to visit, both educational and entertaining.
