  • We have been going up to Minneapolis/St. Paul several times a year since my son started college in 2001 and every time we've driven by I have said this is the year we will visit the museum. I felt tha...  read more »
  • Extraordinary approach to exhibits in that they appeal to both young and adult attendees. Very interactive and informative. Delivers a broad understanding of Minnesota history, past and current. Enjoy...  read more »
  • I was hoping for a little more really. It does seem a little old and a bit tired. The tornado and plane crash simulations are OK but by no means amazing. I would not make a special visit to go here. H...  read more »
  • A children's museum! ?!?. What was this person looking at? Yes, there are things for children but there is so much more. The Greatest Generation exhibit or the Civil War exhibit was very much for adults. The Society operates many historical sites all over the state. They also house the Gale library which contains historical documents you will find no where else.
  • Great place to learn about local history, and they are always having special exhibits. My kids loved the what-it's-like-to-be-in-a-basement-when-a-tornado-goes-by. Also has the best state history library: free to use, but you can't check anything out.
  • Very cool museum. Because a large portion of the home museum is dedicated to th special exhibit, I would advise looking at the topic before going. Otherwise you may be at a museum that is of little interest to you.
  • I absolutely love this place and don't go near enough. Great for kids or dates, you will find a clean place with great exhibits!
  • $12 a person seems kind of steep, but other than that, the Minnesota History Center is an interesting place to visit, both educational and entertaining.
