  • The Park is tiny but lots of grey squirrels with tails that big gray plumes. Some homeless people are there but we've gone through the Park a few times with no problems.

  • We wandered down there fairly early on a Sunday morning. On a side note - downtown St. Paul is a ghost town on Sunday morning; almost creepy.... Anyway, this park sounded delightful in the article I r...  more »
  • The park is beautiful with a little stream and many gardens cared for by different groups of people. We went here for the food truck festival which was a lot of fun.  more »

  • This place is so cute! There weren't quite as many Christmas lights as Rice Park, but in my opinion it was cuter. Lots of squirrels playing around, nice scenery, rocks, trees etc. When I went there it was quite cold out, so it's probably not a typical sampling, but it wasn't as busy as Rice Park. They're within walking distance of each other, so if you go to one and see what there is to see, walk over to the other and check it out!
  • Great events on weekends and evenings. Jazz fest is spectacular. Nice place for early morning dog walks. Some vagrants. Most keep to themselves. No worries... Hey buddy, got a quarter?
  • Dog friendly, squirrel friendly and people friendly too! All lit up in winter. Worth coming at night for a stroll!
  • Small little park in the middle of DT STP. They often hold events here. Nice green area.
  • Been here only a couple of time and impressed. Summer is filled with fests and activities. Decently maintained and surrounded by lot of Restaurants. Not a very quite one thought. My recent visit to this Park is for the Uptown Food Truck Fest, which was by the way very nice.

Where to stay in Saint Paul

Places to stay in St. Paul sit concentrated in the downtown area. The Lowertown Historic District, which includes some of the city's oldest buildings, makes a particularly attractive option. Hotels, guesthouses, and bed and breakfasts here can put you just steps from the Mississippi River, while the greater downtown area also offers apartment rentals and hostels. Staying downtown also puts you within walking distance of most of the city's prime attractions. Additionally, you'll find a handful of national-chain hotels on the east side of town near Interstate 494 / 694.
