  • Great hiking place. I luckily went on an open house day, so didn't need a permit. The open house day is usually in the 1st or 2nd weenkend of June. They have cool hiking trails. You can check out the Historic Fort Snelling, an old infantry unit. People will be dressed up as in the olden ages and do their everyday chores. Uploaded some pictures of the fort.
  • This is a fantastic State Park with lots of history. There are plenty of hiking/biking trails and a nice nature center. You can't miss the fort. That all being said, there was a significant number of homeless people in the park and lots of defecation in certain areas. We didn't feel unsafe, but we will probably stick to more public areas next time.
  • Rest Peacefully Mom! We all love you. Your husband, me your daughter, your son. And your grandchildren. Our hearts are still broken. 6/26/15 Gone but never forgotten. I didn't care for the staging areas. I wanted to wait with my mom. And go to her resting place. While she was laid to rest. The gentleman wasn't helpful with where she was going. Other than that no problems.
  • it's only a block away and cross the river from my home. so it's my playground everyday in all seasons: rowing, running, walking, biking in the summer, skiing, snowshoeing and running in the winter. I count my blessing daily for being so close to this magical river.
  • A lot of great history to learn about. Neat to see muskets and cannons being fired.
