  • Whenever visiting St. Paul we make an effort to visit the Conservatory. The Sunken Garden (seasonal flower show) is a must destination. The Japanese Garden (outside) is a relaxing walk. With it...

  • Short and Sweet with a secret! The new Seal exhibit is stunning! The secret spot is on the 1st floor of the exhibit where the big glass windows are! The seals love the kids, and will move with them as they run. This is the new highlight for my son! Helpful tips: You can only enter with a reservation, luckily they always have open slots. Donations can be paid at the zoo if you skip the option when making a reservation online. You can bring your own food, but they also have a decent little restaurant. There gift shop is also packed with fun goodies. Our next favorite part is seeing the Sloth, and the fund birds that fly past your head. This is a tropical room, that is separate from the other exhibits. We didn't know it existed until our 3rd visit a year ago.
  • Beautiful day. Loved the new seal habitat, and the Sparky show. Como Zoo is a wonderful small zoo, and free. I am proud that the Twin Cities is the home to this zoo. You have come so far from the days when Casey bounced a tire against the wall of his tiny enclosure like Steve McQueen in the Great Escape. You do a fantastic job. I hope you will be here for many, many decades to come.
  • Great zoo! Have a great selection of animals, and their enclosures seem to be fairly large! It is easy to get to everything because the zoo is shaped in a circle. We brought a stroller and we were able to see everything really well. Great vantage points for adults and kids. Can't believe this zoo is free!!!
  • Fantastic of course! Being one of the few Zoo's and Conservatories that's free in the nation, just makes it extra special. We try and contribute every now and then to show our appreciation. The place always looks amazing! We are blessed to have such a fine place to go year round. If you are thinking of visiting, make sure you get reservations ahead of time. Hopefully, soon, the restrictions will be lifted, but for now they still need to social distance and limit the number of folks in the facilities a day.
  • Amazing place! Had a great time. It is a one day event. Lot of things to see and my favorite was the tropical plant conservatory. The place is huge with lot of space to hang out. The place has free entry but make sure that you reserve the time on their website as they need reservations.
