  • It is well worth stopping at the Como Park Zoo. This zoo is free but they do accept donations. One thing to keep in mind while visiting is some areas of the zoo may need some updating such as the wolf...  more »
  • Como zoo is a very nice zoo with a wide variety of animals for the size of the zoo. Some cages are quite small particularly compared with newer zoos. That said, it is a very nice zoo with quite a bit ...  more »
  • We went to visit on a weekend. Parking doesn't supply so you have to walk a lot. The greenhouse is impressive. It is worth visiting it without so many people to enjoy the collection of tropical plant. They make a great effort to have plants in flower. The Zoo is small and free. There is a park for children with rides.

  • This place is idle for families and kids. This is nicely maintained place and kids friendly. Major attractions here are penguins, apes. It was amazing to see a polar bears first time. You can enjoy these all views through clear glass shield. Another point of attraction is butterfly park, they have more than 30 varieties within a closed small area where you can capture photos and play with them. Giraffe, wow it was great to see it here. There are around 5 of them. Overall its a nice place visit with family and kids! Enjoy!!
  • The Como Park Zoo & Conservatory accepts donations, you don't have to pay but it is kind to at least give a dollar. You can see the Giraffes up really close, and you can pay extra to feed them. The monkeys are really fascinating, they are running and jumping around. The seals Are super cool, they swim and then jump up on the rocks. The butterfly exhibit is also super awesome, sometimes the butterflies land on you. You can also get some pretty cool pictures of the butterflies. The conservatory is so beautiful, with so many pretty flowers and plants. It also has a fountain with a statue. You can get married in the conservatory, My grandparents did. Also there is a part of the zoo that has rides but those cost extra. Anyway the Como Zoo is probably the best zoo I've ever been to, and its totally worth going there.
  • Always educational and fun. This is our second time visiting while in town from Michigan. The animals are beautiful and appear well taken care of. The up close demonstrations are fun. We got to see a lady training a polar bear for what appeared to be a medical exam. My 5 year old daughter enjoyed the gorilla. He was napping near the window and we were able to see up close his features and how similar to ours they were. There was sufficient shade even on a hot day it wasn't bad. Lots of benches for resting and activities for the kids. Gift shop had a huge variety of educational and exciting things for the kids and adults and the prices really seemed reasonable. Free zoo, so make sure you offer a donation to keep this center open for many years to come.
  • Kids enjoyed the zoo. The polar bears were amazing! The puffins were the most entertaining! We rented a scooter to get around as I have severe arthritis and cancer. It was $20 for the day. It was well worth it will the hills and walking. The battery held out for 9 hours. Clean, entertaining and educational fun.
  • LOVED my day at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory! It is free for all (amazing), but please consider a reasonable donation as it provided such a fun afternoon (one could even spend all day here)! Tons of family friendly activities, great variety of well-kept animals & plants. Cool modern touches as well such as build your own bonsai app. Plus a fun gift shop is always a good thing! Would recommend for a date, family outing, or solo day trip!
