CHS Field, Saint Paul

4.8
CHS Field is a baseball park in downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota. It is home to the St. Paul Saints of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, as well as home to Hamline University's baseball team.HistoryLocated in the historic Lowertown District of Saint Paul, the park is built upon the former site of a long-vacant industrial-use facility. In September 2012, the stadium was approved for $25 million in funding from the Minnesota Legislature. The remainder of the funding for the $64 million project was shared between the city and the Saints. The construction of this new ballpark was prompted in part by the deteriorating state of the Saints' original ballpark, Midway Stadium, which was built in 1982. Midway Stadium was located in an industrial area of Saint Paul, near the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. On September 8, 2014, it was announced that local Fortune 100 business CHS Inc. had acquired the naming rights to the ballpark. The Saints played their first game at the park on May 18, 2015 against the Sioux City Explorers in an exhibition match. The first regular season game was against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks on May 21, 2015.

  • Such a fun way to spend a summer night!! Beautiful stadium, amazing food! So many open women's bathrooms! Great mid inning games. Super fun characters wondering the crowds. If you can, get the massage from the nun. She's the best!
  • We hosted our company holiday party in the Securian room. Unmatched views of lowertown, the Saints field and the Saint Paul skyline. Modern furniture, a variety of seating options and floor to ceiling windows complete the space and makes the physically large room seem much larger than it is already. It was a cold night for balcony use, but the outdoor option is a great addition as well.
  • Great little ball park in lowertown St. Paul! The area around the park is beautiful, and there are lots of good restaurants around. Travel to the ballpark is super easy because it's right on the green line light rail. The bathrooms are kept in good condition. The staff all seem to love their jobs. Good selection of craft beer. Watching Saints baseball is a great, cheap date-night!
  • 😍 saint Paul is always home to me. The wild play at the X and just 3 minutes away is the saints. Honestly more fun than any twins game I've seen
  • Took the family of 4 to watched a saints game. It was a little cheaper than going to a Twins game. I would go watch the Saints play again. It has probably half as much seating as the Twins - target field. Parking - I would suggest parking under the highway closest to the field. $5-$10 bucks, or find a good place to park and go check out a game. Food - a beer will run you $7-$10 bucks depending. Most other food items are $6 and up. They accept both cash and plastic as pay methods.

Staying downtown also puts you within walking distance of most of the city's prime attractions. Additionally, you'll find a handful of national-chain hotels on the east side of town near Interstate 494 / 694.
