  • One of the oldest churches in the south. Beautiful interior, as well as, exterior grounds. The church square is surrounded by historic charming buildings in a town once called "Petit Paris".  more »
  • The church is gorgeous filled with stained glass windows and statues. The grotto was very impressive and the grounds were well kept. The statue of Evangeline is in the grounds of the church  more »

  • St. Martin de Tours is the "mother church" of the Acadians. A church has stood on this location since the 18th c., and this church was built in the 1830s. St. Martin de Tours is older than the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. It is free to walk into this church and take a tour.
