We had a great time with 3 other couples. Lunch was good and typical of bar food! I like the flights of beer and we had fun. I would go back again. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly.
The Schlafly Tap Room is not in the best of areas in the city, although the actual building was and atmosphere was comfortable and spacious. The selection of beers the night we went was just ok. We di... read more »
Most tap houses only have 5-6 beers available to sample. Not schlafly. Keeping a strong 18 on rotation at all times is impressive. The tap side is a little less formal then the restaurant with a coupl... read more »
Fantastic spot for a quick bite or staying awhile. Came to St Lou for a conference and found this gem my first night. Came back the second night! Best spare ribs I ever had (the fried spare ribs with the jelly sauce on the side). Fries are obviously house made. Beer I didn't get to try much but loved the grapefruit IPA. It's not as citrus-y as you'd think. Had Tiffany as a waitress and she was super nice. Asked her about local taxi companies and she actually called them for me. That's nuts! Great experience and if I come back to town I'm definitely coming back to try more brews and food!
Way above average gastropub food, delicious brews (including limited release ones you can't get elsewhere), and consistently good service over the many years and tines I've been there. Great choice for Sun night dining when other places are closed, too. Can't go wrong.
Nice bar with wide beer selection. Great venue if you're with friends as the space is very big. Schlafly is also a little brewery so you might consider ordering some fresh beer before thinking of some other brand. Don't know how to pick your beer? Well, there is a chart for BTU - beer bitterness units - that I found very helpful. Food is good. Prices are reasonable - at least in comparison with what I'm used to on the East Coast...
It has to be really bad for me to give a 1 star review but this was AWFUL!! We waited 20 minutes for our food ( 2 apps) before the server came over realizing that we should have food by now. When he asked for what items we had it was clear this was a drop ticket. We the proceeded to wait ANOTHER 20 minutes for the food to come before walking out. Nachos, we were waiting 40 minutes on nachos. Rediculous
Went to a rehearsal dinner there. Good food and great drinks! The staff was really great at taking care of every detail.
