The MAGIC HOUSE, Saint Louis

(4.6/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
In a 5,100 sq m (55,000 sq f) space, The MAGIC HOUSE features exhibits, resources, and activities for children to experiment with, create, and develop problem-solving skills. Look for some of these favorite exhibits: an electrically charged ball that creates static electricity, a large pin screen that holds the shape of your body, a giant kaleidoscope, and an art studio. Older children get to solve mysteries by analyzing fingerprints, crawling through ductwork, and opening secret doors. Kids have the opportunity to stay overnight with one parent, an experience that includes an evening snack and breakfast plus extra time to enjoy more than 100 exhibits. Put The MAGIC HOUSE into our Saint Louis itinerary maker and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • It's really a children's museum. It's huge and really entertaining for any age kids from toddlers to pre-teens. You can't even go thru the whole place in a day!

  • This is a great place for kids. I know I loved it when I was younger. Adults can find enjoyment as well. There are many interesting things to do and see.
  • Always a great time. They update and keep things fresh, and our kids love it. I highly suggest going during a slower time. When it's super busy it's hard to fully enjoy everything.
  • Had fun today at the arts center! There was a guy doing ceramics on the potters wheel and though my daughter was too young for that, she had fun playing with the clay on the table, did some painting and crafting!
  • This Children's Museum has a little bit of everything. It is hard to try out everything in one day. My kids especially love the arts and crafts rooms on the first floor which are a little tucked away. The 3 story slide from the top floor has been a favorite since I was a kid. This museum keeps growing. Definitely look for the buy one get one half off coupons that are available in many places on the internet!
  • Went to the Magic House with my grandkids, ages 5 and 9. They both had a great time. Tons and tons of stuff for them both do to. Plus I had a great time as well. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful. What a great gem to find in St. Louis! We'll definitely be going back again.
