  • Even at 530 on warm Saturday the lines are long, but they move fast. They are very efficient at what they do. The custard is good, so go try it!  more »
  • An STL staple. If you're visiting, GO! If you're a native but you've never been, GO! Ted Drewes has been apart of my hometown glory since I was a little girl walking from Spring & Itaska with nothing ...  more »

  • We stopped here briefly after having already having lunch at Fitz's, so we didn't have room for more than a taste. We split a small butterscotch shake. I was impressed not only with how quickly the line moved (nearly instantaneously), but also how quickly our food was served. Seriously, we got our shake in a quarter of the time it took to get my last blizzard from Dairy Queen. This was our first time having frozen custard. It is creamer than ice cream. We liked it and look forward to becoming regulars when we move here next year.
  • Ted Drewes is a St Louis staple, and the locals know it. There will be 200 people in line on a weekend night for custard, but the lines move very quickly. Parking can be a nightmare. There's an off duty cop watching over the parking lot every night. The neighborhoods nearby can be a little Sketchy. It's worth it. The custard is excellent. The cashier will sometimes flip your custard over to show you that it's so thick it won't fall out. Don't repeat this test, or you'll have a bad time. It only works once.
  • The frozen custard was delicious, it lives up to what we were hold to expect by the locals. They were pretty busy for a cloudy rainy Tuesday afternoon but moved quickly and the wait was minimal. Their menu offers almost limitless choices. Will definitely go back whenever I am in St Louis.
  • It's so good n popular, they need a policeman to direct traffic out of their parking lot. Despite long lines, the wait was maybe 10 minutes! We went back 3 nights in a row. I imagine st Louis is much diminished in winter when people have to enjoy the frozen custard in the, warmth of their cars or homes:)
  • A St Louis landmark for a good reason. It's the place to go for frozen custard and has been for at least the last 50 years. The custard is perfect - creamy, thick, delicious - and is available in a seemingly endless variations. Our two favorites are the chocolate chip concrete and the hot fudge sundae. One other nice feature is the low cost.
