  • This is one of my favorite places to go in the city. The architecture both inside and out still amazes me every time I see it. It's well worth a stop to see. They do have an elevator inside for people...  more »
  • I am a big fan of libraries and all they have to offer. This library has architecture, great staff and of course floors of books
  • This place was awesome! CassGilbert design from 1912 recently renovated and "free" public access. I had a tour with Jennifer. She was a walking historian. They have a section for every age, including ...  more »

  • Nice renovation but I wish I could give it a zero. Winos camp out in the restroom and the cops on guard there make the hairs stand up on your neck. Very rude, aggressive, and arrogant. They must pick the worst cops in the city to work there. Makes you feel more like a criminal than a patron. Some (not all) of the staff are rude and unfriendly. The place smells like a refugee camp, very musty and sweaty mixed with genitals (no joke). Unmatched selection offsets mean atmosphere but frankly I'd pass on it.
  • It's great for a quick run for a popular book, but not a great research sight.
