  • So glad to have discovered this...it is FREE too. June 2017 they have a Route 66 Exhibit-- wonderful to evoke memories of this highway and it's Missouri presence. They had a photo of the first McDonal...  more »
  • Super hot outside and looking for some AC to cool off? Head to the Missouri History Museum. It's free, it's cool, (in fact downright cold in the exhibits) and it's interesting, too. I wasn't expecting...  more »

  • Their exhibits are of such a high caliber. I like to stop in every few months to make sure I don't miss the latest one. To fully take in all the information, you'd need at least an hour in each. The building itself is beautiful and the exhibits are free. When we have out of town guests, we make sure to bring them to the 1904 World's Fair exhibit so they become well-versed on our area's claim to fame. 😉
  • The History Museum is a phenomenal display of mostly local history exhibits and some national traveling exhibits. It is a great place to spend an afternoon, and a wonderful place to take children to learn. Best of all, it is free. I would highly recommend this to both locals and visitors from out of town.
  • Great family outing, lots too see and learn. Enjoy seeing all the history an seeing how things used to be before all this technology we have today
  • Went for the first time, and it's actually pretty lit. My favorite thing was this painting of Dred Scott that I've seen in history textbooks. It was neat to see in person and know that it's in St Louis.
  • This was a great place to spend some time on a rainy day. The Civil Rights exhibit stirred my soul from the moment I crossed the threshold. It was nice to see all the school kids taking in the history too. There's no shortage of unknown facts.
