The exhibition the fight very impressively designed for civil rights for blacks, was among other things especially important. The history of the world's fair of 1904 is well represented; but as the other departments are well worth a visit.

Their exhibits are of such a high caliber. I like to stop in every few months to make sure I don't miss the latest one. To fully take in all the information, you'd need at least an hour in each. The building itself is beautiful and the exhibits are free. When we have out of town guests, we make sure to bring them to the 1904 World's Fair exhibit so they become well-versed on our area's claim to fame. 😉

The History Museum is a phenomenal display of mostly local history exhibits and some national traveling exhibits. It is a great place to spend an afternoon, and a wonderful place to take children to learn. Best of all, it is free. I would highly recommend this to both locals and visitors from out of town.

Located in Forest Park, close to the DeBaliviere-Forest park MetroLink station. Amazing displays on the 1904 Louisiana Purchase, the civil rights movement in Missouri, the famous Route 66 & two displays aptly titled 'Reflections' & 'Currents' covering the history of St Louis, the city itself. Some exhibits might be changed from time to time. There is a place to eat and a gift shop attached.

Nice little area for kids, but overall a place for the adults to check out. Very interesting, will have to stop back sans kids.
