WE visited the Route 66 exhibit which was very well thought out and informative. The video of the actual road tour was amazing and certainly worth the visit.
What a wonderful museum, great exhibits like Route 66 & Little Black Dress (this one will be gone after Labor Day), the History Clubhouse, just for children, 1904 Worlds Fair exhibit, and a few more! The gift shop is amazing, if you don't buy, you will definitely want to browse! The cafe and restaurants have lots of good things to eat, definitely a great way to spend an afternoon
Was here during an exhibit on the history of route 66 and a fashion history of the little black dress. Whats really impressive about this museum other than the beautiful park its situated in and the excellent curating is the fact that its entry is free. Be sure to donate when entering to keep such wonderful public services available for all.
Not being from around here I didn't know what to expect. I am glad we came in here. The Spirit of St. Louis sister plan hanging from the ceiling was cool. I would highly recommend spending a good long while in here reading everything you can. The kids area was great.
If you're interested in St. Louis history, this is a good venue. Especially interesting are the seasonal exhibits which highlight famous local places ad people.
Wow what a world class museum!! I was there when they had the 250 exhibit, about St Louis! Oh man! What an exhibit it was, I have no words to describe how compelling, organized, and inventive it was I spent there 2 straight days... The other exhibits were cool as well, just had to mention the temp exhibit, This is a definite stop whenever I pass St Louis.
