  • A beautiful place full of greenery and with a "nice" Fountain. Looks very good even the famous arch.

  • Having arrived in Saint Louis the day before, we strolled down to the Old Courthouse and the Arch on the 1st June, a route that took us past the Plaza which had only been completed two weeks before. T...  more »
  • Kiener Plaza had its time in the spotlight and then quickly went into a dead space. The amphitheater became worn and of no value really. It was like being in someone's dirty basement, with no breeze t...  more »

  • I took my 3 kiddos to check out Kiener Plaza after its remodel and we loved it. The playground is fun for kids of all ages. Mine are 1, 4, and 7 and each had a blast. There is a separate area designed for younger children which I liked. As a parent, I also enjoyed the fact that there is only one way to enter the playground. Separate from the playground was a water area for the kids to play in. The water sprays from the ground and is a little more forceful than the spouts at City Garden. My 1 year old that does well at City Garden did not enjoy the water here. There are easily accessible water fountains and water bottle re-fill fountains. The space is clean and well maintained. We enjoyed walking around looking at the fountains. My only complaint was the lack of shaded areas to rest.
  • Love the new Kiener Plaza! There is plenty of seating and a nice area where you can sit and eat while people watching. There is a nice play area for kids as well as a splash pool. This has already become one of my go to places downtown when I was to get outside for a bit.
  • St. Louis wisely invested funds to update the plaza. New features include water fountains and playground for kids. There is plenty of seating for dinning.
  • Our daughter was just SEVERELY burned by a steam great in the center of the plaza just feet from a playground. It is unmarked other than the word steam on the top of a scalding hot metal cover. We are currently in the children's hospital with our 22 month old watching her writhe in pain as they debride second degree burns. HOW IS THE NOT MARKED IN AN AREA WHERE CHILDREN RUN AND PLAY! I thank god it was only her feet and she hadn't tripped and fallen on her face. For god's sake get this marked to where parents and kids know before something even worse happens
  • Liked the old plaza better but do enjoy that this one has a park. Very hot though. It will be better when the trees are mature.
