  • This memorial to Thomas Jefferson, the second President of the United States, just behind the famous "Gateway Arc" of St. Louis Missouri, and right front to the Missouri River, right in the downtown of the city and very near Bush St. Louis Cardinals baseball stadium. For those who want to know more about the history of the United States, is a good place to visit.

  • The Gateway Arch currently has a lot of construction going on, but the ride to the top is still the same with a great view of the city and surrounding area. A must see for out of town visitors!

  • The structure is easy to see in the middle of downtown St. Louis. This is where the historically famous Dred Scott case occurred. The interior is stunning. It is multi-level. The rotunda is beautiful when seen from an upper level. It is a "must see" when visiting St. Louis.
  • Although temporarily closed for major renovations, the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial (aka: Gateway Arch) is surely a site to see. I'm sure some people who live in the St. Louis area take for granted the splendor that is this architectural masterpiece. Hop a ride in the tram (when it's running again) and take in some of the most amazing views of the St. Louis downtown and riverfront. Finally, the museum and visitors area underground are quite interesting; make sure you have time to take it all in.
  • The iconic arch is a fantastic monument for St. Louis. The small park where the memorial is located has a very trail you can walk around right along the Mississippi river. You can also visit the Gateway Arch up close. For the more brave souls you can ride up a very small elevator capsule to see a view from the top of the gateway arch. It is a VERY small space and the arch does sway. The unfortunate part is the amount of construction currently going on in front of the arch.
  • Anyone who visits St. Louis must visit the museum and Arch. The expansion memorial has a fantastic museum with tons of historic scenes that are great to check out by yourself, with friends or family. The arch is pretty much one of the most amazing things in the U.S. You get to ride up in this little egg like pod up inside the leg of the arch and once at the top you can see for miles and miles through the little windows at the top. You can also feel the wind move and sway the arch. Go there!
  • You are a summed to be armed and dangerous and carrying bombs with I'll intent until you can prove otherwise. You will be photographed and searched as well as the bomb sniffing dogs and metal detector. The contraption that hauls up up and back down is intriguing.
