Drury Inn St. Louis At Union Station, Saint Louis

2.3
#4 of 8 in Shopping in Saint Louis
Admire the architecture, do some shopping, and relax over a tasty meal at Drury Inn St. Louis At Union Station, once the largest and busiest train station in the world. In the first half of the 20th century, the station served close to 100,000 passengers a day, but with the advance of air travel, it quickly fell into decline. Its transformation into a hotel and a shopping mall is a great example of successful urban redevelopment. While browsing the shops that offer everything from sports equipment to jewelry, you can enjoy the station's perfectly maintained Romanesque architecture. The station is well-connected with the rest of the city by public transportation, and parking is plentiful. • We took a quick detour en route to downtown St. Louis and entered Union Station. The place is amazing! The visual impact blew me away...I don't want to give "spoilers" but make it a point to take a lo...  more »
  • WAY overpriced, but at least for us the polar express characters played it up good and we all had fun. We were told to show up 2 hours early, but that was so you can go through all the tents and buy t...  more »

  • Disclaimer first: our stay was during some very cold weather in Jan. 2018. Our room finally got warm when the heat control on the wall read 78. Top floor room , 620 which faces south and it was very cold around the windows which are a couple of feet from the bed. The bathroom was cold as well and tile floor made it worse. That's the bad. Its a very nice place to stay and convenient to Blues games, concerts and across the street from Union Station. We have been here before and never seen or heard of problems. Its easy to find from 64 and a good spot for sightseeing. Just not in sub zero weather.
  • Stayed at the Drury Inn St. Louis At Union Station with friends and colleagues for three nights/four days while attending a conference next door at the Union Station Hotel. Drury Inn was an absolute pleasure to stay in. We had a suite, which had ample room, comfortable seating and sleeping areas, and plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in convenient in-shower dispensers. The paid parking was quite secure. The continental breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh food for an appropriate and convenient length of time. There was a lot of space for dining as well with a variety of comfortable chairs. The evening meal and drinks, called kickback, was always very delicious and convenient, and will be a large part of my intention to return to Drury Inn in the future. The layout of the hotel was a bit odd at times but very charming, due to the older building. The staff was very friendly and helpful in helping with issues and requests big and small. I would absolutely stay there again and suggest it to others.
  • This is a great place to stay. We recently stayed 3 nights. Complimentary hot breakfast and dinner was a definite plus! The staff was sweet and helpful. The hot tub was hot and the pool was warm. Our room was clean and replenished every day of our stay. We absolutely will be back!
  • We were greeted by friendly front desk staff. The hotel has a nice pool and hot tub for the kids. The complimentary evening snacks are enough to count as dinner. (With kids the less hassle the better!) The staff again was super! The beds are very comfortable and rooms are spacious. The complimentary breakfast was great too. The arch or Stadium are less than a 2 mile walk. They keep the parking gararge very secure. You would need to drive to most destinations.
  • If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... Fantastic place to stay! Very very clean, OUTSTANDING customer service and every staff member we met was very nice and would stop and talk to our toddler. Free breakfast, free dinner, and 3 free alcoholic drinks from the bar as well as a pool and Jacuzzi and free popcorn and soda! Wonderful place and very pretty.
