  • Summer of 63/64 a Lutheran Youth work group fixed up Penn Center. School was in bad need of repair, painting etc. Two weeks at Frog More were fantastic with kids from up and down East Coast. Approx. 22 girls and 15 boys were involved in schools repair. Not sure if this is correct but the "I HAVE A DREAM" speech was started there.
  • Wonderful video, tour, and gift shop. Rich Gullah Heritage.
  • The Penn Center recognizes a significant part of American history, specifically African American. Everyone who visits the area should give their support to the Penn Center. The museum myself is tiny, but the surrounding land feels like a trip back in time. Many thanks to the wonderful ladies in the gift shop who showed us kindness.
  • An important part of American history that everyone should know about.
