We stayed in the John Leak Room. Very nice and comfortable. The people were very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. We did the 8 o'clock haunted tour which was fun and then walked around outside and sat on the back porch before settling in for the night. The night watchman stopped by and introduced himself and chatted. Great experience and fun!!! No ghosts visited us this trip. I did get orbs in some outside pictures.

Most fun in a long time. Fun group of people work their. The haunted tour was very informational and friendly. Rooms are very comfortable and dated to the era of the time of plantation time. Loved this place I would stay here again. Breakfast was very well done and staff was very happy to help with anything.

I reserved an evening tour with my family (5 adults and a 13-yr-old) and drove over from Baton Rouge. The plantation had an eerie, but not commercial feel the moment we entered the gates. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and up-front about the history and descriptions of other people's experiences on the property. We saw handprints on bedcovers that the tour guide claimed weren't there during an earlier tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and I'd love to spend a night at this haunted plantation!

The place is beautiful. My only problem is that there was a man that infringed on my second amendment. I abliged the old man under protests. This man has forgoton where he lives and what keeps this country safe. I really wanted to stay the night but cause of this I decided against it. There are no signs posted with a state or federal mandate saying its unlawful to carry a weapon. Second of all there is no armed security here which makes me feel unsafe. Not saying this place is unsafe. It looks safe but in this world no were is safe. So to all who carry I would advise to not come here. If it wasn't for the fact I already paid for the tour. I would of walked out based on my belief that I will not support a place who does not support the second amendment.
