The Family Arena is a great venue for concerts and local attractions! Nice and big for lots of different events!
The arena seats around 10,000 for full-house events. It's conveniently located and parking is not a problem.
I bought a ticket online and they emailed me a PDF. I had the option to print it, but chose not to. Since the year is 2016, I assumed they could scan the ticket barcode on my iPhone. (After all, the grocery stores have been scanning coupons for a couple years from phone screens.) The ticket takers told me that they can't scan it. (They can only scan paper.) So I walked to the box office and they said they won't scan it either. After 5 minutes of pleading... they reluctantly printed me a paper copy. Jesus!
This is a fun arena for smaller shows. I've seen several bands play here as well as sporting events and its not going to knock your socks off but it's definitely fun and events are usually pretty cheap. The parking will get you though!
Cool place, at least from the outside. I go to the Autocross events during summer in their parking lot. The actual Autocross is held by Boeing Sports Car Club Association, but the Family Arena cool for letting us use the parking lot.
Went to our first concert 6/3/16. After reading several posted reviews, I was apprehensive. It is an older venue. We found parking to be adequate; access to seating easy enough. The seats are small & set very close together with not much leg room. Luckily for us we were in the nose bleed section & either the venue was not sold out or people bought tickets & didn't go. We noticed some seats missing rather armrests. At any rate, we enjoyed the concert, there were many beverages to choose from, but with premium prices $6+ for beer & $7 for a Seagrams. There was also premium spirits offered. There was also several food options at the site. I think we would attend an event there again.
Very little leg room in most general admission seats except the floor. In general though a good quick in and out, loads of parking arena
