  • I didn't go in as I prefer to photograph forts from the outside. This one was particularly striking and both my camera and I loved it. See for yourself.
  • The Fort is a wonderful attraction for old and young alike. Knowledgeable Staff can provide an insight into the history of the Fort and talks are given at intervals during the day.
  • Excellent as usual. My 3 children age 5,3 and 1 and niece had a blast as well as the 10 adults. The guide provide great educational material. It is very refreshing to have a hands on museum to bring th...  read more »
  • We went on a school trip, so we moved through quickly. They took us to a re-created indian hut, and explained how they native indians would of lived, what they ate, tools they used, animals they would interact with, etc. The students made small necklaces with the guide. Outside, we spent time playing games the indians would of played, working on creating a canoe from a tree stump, and a few other activities.
  • I went here with my two kids (4.5, 1.5 years) and my parents and we had a blast! We used a groupon and it was a great value. This is one of my favorite things I've found to do with the kids in St. Augustine. The staff was great - informative and also patient with my kiddos. It's a semi self guided tour with lots of hands on activities. My kids loved digging for gold coins which we later used to buy trinkets in the gift shop. Highly recommend!!
  • Perfect for our kids. Very educational and the staff was knowledgeable. Ask for Senior Blanco, you won't be disappointed. So glad we stopped!
  • Great places for younger children to see and experience hands on history. Our 3 year old loved it!
  • We decided to visit Fort Menendez instead of the movies and were so glad we did. It was a complete family experience from Grandparents, Parents and children of three ages, 13, 8 and 1 and we had a fabulous experience with our Indian guide Ova. The children were completely engaged with lots of hands on experiences .Later we had another guide who also was wonderful. They earned "coins" when they answered questions and were able to use them later in the gift shop to buy their own souvenirs. Everyone had a great time together and the children thanked us for taking them. It was a quiet day there and we arrived around 2:00PM it took about an hour and a half to go through the fort. Overall we had a awesome experience and would recommend it to everyone!
