  • Great day for the kids/grandkids. Better early in the day if it is hot outside. There are picnic areas and Ojibway Island is just down the street.
  • I absolutely love going to this zoo. Small, but it is affordable and even as an adult I still could spend hours at this zoo. Many attractions.
  • Each season of the year this place blossoms!!! The gardens alone are worth the visit and the admission price. Very gently winding paths are in very good condition and I've seen very many people, young...  more »

  • Perfect small family zoo, especially for small children. Big enough for an adventure, small enough to keep from being overwhelming. Great play areas and animal print areas for the kids. Rides (train and carousel) are also very affordable.
  • I found a deal on Groupon and thought we'd suprise the kids before school started. We had a great time. This is the perfect place to take younger children because it's not huge and overwhelming. The train ride was my son's favorite and my daughter liked brushing the goats. Prices are very reasonable. We'll be back when you get the wolves!
  • Recently was here for the "Boo at the Zoo" event they had and my son had a blast. There were a lot of different areas setup in a Halloween theme. They also invited the local police and fire dept and they allowed the children to sit in the police cars and firetrucks. Again my son absolutely loved this.
  • Such am amazing place! Beautiful gardens everywhere, the animals all looked happy and healthy! The kangaroo exhibit was really cool, all the exhibits were! It only cost only $1 to ride a hand carved carousel and the train that rides around the park! For $5 entry you could NOT pick a better place to spend a few hours with the family!
  • Animals aren't very exotic, but city kids might enjoy it! Great place for a large group.
