  • It is a nice place to visit to get a glimpse of Saginaw history & also Post Master. Worth the admission & more.
  • One of the rooms is a re-creation of a local jewelry store just as it looked in 1914, there is a huge model train exhibit in the basement, and assorted other exhibits on local history. Nice to see thi...  more »

  • Awesome museum, I would happily visit again. Make sure to check out the Lego exhibit on the first floor and the train exhibit in the basement!
  • This museum is pretty great. Even if you don't care about the history of Saginaw, the architecture and exhibits are amazing. There's a permanent model train exhibit ran by train historians. There's a temporary Lego exhibit of local town buildings; although it's slightly inaccurate with superman flying around and Chewbacca playing baseball. The Lego exhibit temporarily reopens annually. Free parking between the library and museum. Admission is only $1 for adults and $.50 for children.
  • This is a local museum in an amazing old building that was originally a post office. The building itself has enough historical value on its own to make it worth visiting, but it also has a lot of interesting local stuff inside. I was extremely impressed by the Saginaw Cyclecar, a relic of the time when new auto companies were springing up all over Michigan. There is no set admission fee, but I suggest leaving a few extra dollars in their donation box for operating their museum and preserving such an amazing old building.
  • Had been years since visiting- drawn in by a LEGO exhibit of historic buildings of Saginaw. That was OK but seeing adjacent offerings was very eye-opening. I want to return to see the the transportation area that we briefly passed through. The store looked worth visiting also and, at a dollar a pop, there's noreason not to return often.
  • Beautiful old building with fascinating exhibits and artifacts.
