  • The drive to get to this place was not good. Maybe there were other routes to take but the one we ended up on was just awful (dirt road with huge potholes). However, once we arrived it was quite nice....  more »
  • It is typical Texas, oil pumps between the wetlands with birds and even white pelicans. You can drive around on gravel roads and everything is well signposted. Certainly well worth it when you are in the area of Lake Texoma.

  • Great visitor center with a butterfly garden area outside-we say Monarchs! The area has some hiking areas-one that goes to a pond, then areas where you can drive and see nature. We saw turtles, egrets...  more »

  • A great contrast to the busy hubbub of the nearby DFW metroplex. Was expecting a little more wildlife, but that may be due to the season and time of day I was visiting. Also a slight shame that the Harris Creek trail is in a state of disrepair. Otherwise was a great location for a peaceful day spent hiking and photographing birdlife on the shores of Lake Texoma.
  • It is so peaceful and relaxing at Hagerman. Didn't catch any fish but that didn't matter to me. I just watched the fish jumping. :-)
  • Love to come here for the photo opportunities of the wildlife. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
  • Stumbled upon this Wildlife Reserve while out on a driving through the area. We stopped to stretch our legs but the visitor's center was already closed. The views were very pretty and peaceful. Great for bird watching and photography. Because of the recent rains and flooding, the trails were closed off. We hope to return and explore in the coming months.
  • First time going to Hagerman this past weekend. Great place to go hiking and fishing; very peaceful place too. The scenery is nice and you get a great view of Texoma lake. Didn't expect too much of it but it exceeded my expectations 👍👍
