Where to stay in Sacramento

Sacramento boasts a number of hotels, motels, and bed and breakfasts that vary in price and character. Units downtown provide easy access to the majority of the city's attractions and nightlife but tend to be more expensive. If you are flying in or out of the city, consider one of the hotels near Sacramento International Airport for convenience. Vacation rentals are ideal if you are planning a longer stay in the city, with many located in quieter residential neighborhoods.

  • This bridge of classic design looks like it is painted yellow. But when the sun hits it from the proper angle, it turns a bright gold. It is quite beautiful like that. It is easy to walk across though...  more »

  • One of the iconic historical bridges in Sacramento. Good place to bring the family and enjoy the beauty of this iconic structure. There is trail bike and I see boats docked beneath the bridge. Old Town Sacramento and Railroad Museum is a walking distance from this place.
  • I love that bridge. Its often my go-to for portraits of people who want to represent Sacramento. Stop by there on 4th of July and NYE for special fireworks show!
  • Great place for an evening stroll with the family. Love the views all around...
  • Great place to visit and an amazing place for a stroll. The entire area along with the Old Sacramento Historic Park, museums and the river walk is a great place to spend a weekend with the family. Just be a little careful of the homeless people once it gets dark.
  • Loved it! Great 0lace to visit! Kids love the railroad museum and there are blocks and blocks of shops and little places to eat. Be prepared to pay $15 for parking in the structure, but it's all day parking!
