A very striking bridge painted gold ! The central part lifts to allow shipping to pass. I had a view of the bridge from my hotel room and watched the colour change at night. I was really lucky to see ...  more »

This point is the translation of that represented this city at the time of the California gold rush, a metal point, built in 1935 to replace a bridge that no longer matched the population and traffic of the city, the goal is that she could be raised vertically to allow the passage of ships, like today, but this did not occur golden/yellow color is to coincide with the dome of the Capitol and do justice to the history of the gold.

One of the iconic historical bridges in Sacramento. Good place to bring the family and enjoy the beauty of this iconic structure. There is trail bike and I see boats docked beneath the bridge. Old Town Sacramento and Railroad Museum is a walking distance from this place.

I love that bridge. Its often my go-to for portraits of people who want to represent Sacramento. Stop by there on 4th of July and NYE for special fireworks show!

Great place to visit and an amazing place for a stroll. The entire area along with the Old Sacramento Historic Park, museums and the river walk is a great place to spend a weekend with the family. Just be a little careful of the homeless people once it gets dark.

Loved it! Great 0lace to visit! Kids love the railroad museum and there are blocks and blocks of shops and little places to eat. Be prepared to pay $15 for parking in the structure, but it's all day parking!

Units downtown provide easy access to the majority of the city's attractions and nightlife but tend to be more expensive.
