  • Take a few minutes to walk the Tower Bridge. It's painted gold, of course, for the gold rush city! The engineering is interesting but just watching the boats go by is well worth it.
  • This one caught my attention while walking on the docks. Reminded me of a similar-looking bridge in London.
  • Very cool bridge!!! Great place to bring the family...

  • 8/16/14 A three day weekend staying across from Tower Bridge in Sac has given my husband and me lots of time to walk the promenade in front of the pretty yellow bridge. Walk after walk, day and evening, and we've yet to see the bridge lift. We're leaving a little disappointed by this fact, but find the bridge to be beautiful, even in its lowered state. (Should we call the number posted on the bridge to report to dispatch an approaching giant ship? ...probably not...) The promenade is great for bike and pedestrian traffic. It parallels the river and railroad. Amazing views of the water, train, and bridge. Perhaps if you're lucky you could capture a single picture of all three, if you time it right.
