  • We stopped for a short visit with two grandkids, ages 5 and 8. They enjoyed the many exhibits. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We got to ring the school bell.  more »
  • Excellent docents, interesting materials and displays. This is a small place, but with LOTS going on!  more »

  • Great reproduction of an 1849 school house. On the day of our visit our guide gave about a 40 minute lecture on the history of schooling during the time (this was quite boring). I would have rather been able to tour the school house on my own and have read about its history in a brochure or pamphlet. I went with a large group so maybe having 40 people all over this 800 sq. foot room would not be good.
  • Good place to visit once
  • Great place to take your kids. My wife worked as a patron here for many years.
  • educational.
  • Nice fieldtrip .
