  • Fun to see how school was years ago. They had a pot belly stove for heat, there are allot of interesting pictures and information. Kids need to see how good they have it now,lol

  • Charming class in a wooden house. Rows of desks, stove Board ... It was interesting to see how little Americans studied in 19 century. Old photos on the walls, a small courtyard next to the school. Visit free of charge.

  • Great reproduction of an 1849 school house. On the day of our visit our guide gave about a 40 minute lecture on the history of schooling during the time (this was quite boring). I would have rather been able to tour the school house on my own and have read about its history in a brochure or pamphlet. I went with a large group so maybe having 40 people all over this 800 sq. foot room would not be good.
  • Good place to visit once
  • Great place to take your kids. My wife worked as a patron here for many years.
  • educational.
  • Nice fieldtrip .
