  • If what you are looking for is a day warm and relaxed this is place right. When we have the opportunity to take our boat and a walk and there got to eat some of the restaurants that are in the River, the view is wonderful and there is a sand that looks like a small beach where the younger members of the family can play and swim.

  • I have enjoyed two group barbeques in Discovery Park. It is a great area to work out in,play games,or ride a bike. I see it as a viable short cut when necesary.
  • A nice park to visit and stretch your legs. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the natural beauty. During the summer you can swim and their is a boat ramp to launch your boat, park personal are there to t...  read more »
  • As i began a goal to get off probation i found myself in DISCOVERY PARK i been living there for 7years and i would do it all over again and i had some very unusual experience that would last me a life time 😎(would like to say thanks. To all the park rangers πŸ‘for all the good things that they have done for me by keeping me as safe. As possible..
  • Huge park, lots of shaded parking, wide boat launch, well maintained grass, clean with restrooms and park security. Also the start of the American River Bike Trail. Great place!! 😊
  • Nice, large and beautiful park. Rangers and park workers are very friendly. City cops roll through often and some undercover. Haven't seen them bother anybody though.
  • Great park! There is an entrance fee per car. This park is located on the American river right where it dumps into the Sacramento river. Be careful swimming, more current than it looks like. Life jackets required for the kids on the beach. Free jackets are provided. There is a boat launch ramp across the bridge to the left. This is a huge park and would be perfect for large barbeques. There are some homeless in the park. Usually will not bother you...
  • Great place for kids to run around and enjoy the American and Sacramento Rivers joining. Has boat launch site as well as ample parking.
